I paid $71 with shipping for this 3D mouse. The Space Explorer model I have also has the ergonomic palm rest and a 15 or so buttons that can make for an even better experience. I picked up the least expensive used one that still has current support by 3DConnexion. I highly recommend getting a 3DConnexion device. My left hand controls the view and the right hand uses the mouse to select, draw and drag objects. ![]() Once again not having to fiddle with a stupid wheel mouse to attempt to move around in 3D space and use modifier keys when it's not sufficient makes using these programs a lot more fun and intuitive.Īnother thing that makes this great is using my left hand for something other than a chin scratcher. Using the 3D Connexion in SketchUp, I feel like a helicopter pilot orbiting around my 3D drawing. The 3DConnexion mouse has excellent sensitivity to go really slow or really fast from instant to instant. I can't describe how great it is to not have to constantly have to press down on the mouse wheel to pan or strum that tiny wheel over and over to get zoomed in or out.
